🐾 Our Puppy Protocol – Giving Your Baby the Best Start! 🐾
From the moment your puppy is born, we’re doing everything possible to give them a healthy, confident start in life. Here’s a peek at the love and care that goes into raising your little one before they come home to you:
🍼 Birth to 3 Days: A Special Beginning
Our puppies are born right into our hands, checked over, weighed, and given a special colored collar so we can track each one individually from day one. We keep a very close eye on them—checking weights, nursing, and making sure every tummy is full and happy. We even have cameras on them when we leave the room, especially during that critical first week.
✂️ Day 3: Tail Docking & Dew Claws
At 3 days old, we dock tails and remove dew claws. I strongly believe in removing dew claws for safety reasons, but I’m happy to leave tails natural if that’s your preference! If you’d like your puppy’s tail left long, just contact me by day 2 and place a deposit to reserve that pup. Call or text anytime to talk about your options: 512-587-6583.
🧠 Days 3–16: Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS)
Starting on day 3, we also begin Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS)—a simple, proven method to support healthy development. These five tiny daily exercises (developed by the U.S. military!) help strengthen your puppy’s heart, boost their stress tolerance, and support a lifetime of learning and adaptability. It’s a gentle, powerful way to help your puppy grow into a confident, resilient adult. Click here to read more from the AKC.
🚽 Days 12–18: Potty Training Begins!
As soon as their eyes and ears start opening, we introduce a potty pan. And guess what? By just 2.5 to 3 weeks old, they’re already using it instead of soiling their bedding! It’s amazing—and gives you a huge head start on house training. We follow the Misty Method because it works. And these are Poodles—we all know how smart they are! 🐩💡
🪱 Weeks 2–8: Worming & Wellness
At 2 weeks old, we start them on a regular worming schedule with Strongid, repeating every two weeks until they head home with you. Puppies love to explore everything with their noses, so this is an important part of keeping them healthy.
🥣 Early Nutrition & Play
From a young age, our pups have access to fresh water, kibble to nibble, and puppy mash 4x a day once they start eating. And yes—tons of toys! 😊
🌞 Weeks 4–5: Outdoor Exploration
By about 4 weeks, we start taking them outside daily to play in our specially designed puppy pen. They get to see the world safely—stairs to climb, a swing to play on, and yes, even their potty pan comes too. This helps build confidence, coordination, and curiosity in a safe, supervised environment.
💉 Weeks 6–7: Vaccines & Vet Prep
Before your puppy goes home, we give them their first 5-way vaccination to help jump-start their immunity. Please check with your vet about follow-up boosters and continuing a worming schedule for a smooth transition.
When it’s time for your puppy to head home, you’ll receive:
✔️ Health Records
✔️ Their AKC Registration Paperwork
✔️ Transition Kibble
✔️ A receipt for your records
✔️ And a lifetime of support from me 💛
We raise every puppy with love, care, and proven techniques to give you a happy, healthy, and confident new family member. Can’t wait for you to meet your new best friend!
Contracts & Health Guarantee
We take great pride in how we raise our puppies and welcome future families into our home to meet not just the puppies, but their parents—and us! Transparency is incredibly important to us, and we are always happy to show you where and how your puppy is being raised. Our whelping area is open for visits, and we follow established safety protocols to ensure a healthy environment for both puppies and guests.
We do not require a formal application to adopt one of our puppies. Instead, we trust that by choosing to place a deposit, you’ve already demonstrated the love, commitment, and responsibility that every puppy deserves. Raising a Standard Poodle is a joyful, long-term investment, and we’re honored to be part of your journey. Thank you for trusting us and for loving not only your puppy, but also the wonderful parent dogs behind them.

Our Health Guarantee
We are confident in the health and quality of our puppies and the integrity of our breeding program. We provide a one-year health guarantee from the litter's birth date against any serious, life-threatening genetic conditions.
The parents of each litter are fully health tested, including DNA testing through accredited laboratories and OFA hip evaluations. While genetic issues are extremely rare due to our careful breeding practices, should a life-threatening genetic condition arise, we require:
-
A written statement and supporting documentation from your licensed veterinarian
-
A copy of your original receipt and health guarantee
-
The return of the puppy
Upon review, we will offer either a full refund or a replacement puppy, depending on the circumstances and your preference. To date, we have never had a puppy returned or diagnosed with a life-threatening genetic issue—something we are very proud of and work hard to maintain.
Please keep this paper, as it will serve as your receipt, and health guarantee for one year for your puppy.
